…one of the largest networks of IT talent in Central PA.

It has to be a two-way fit, and most of the time, it is.

I know how to put people at ease, to make them laugh, and to make them feel good about themselves.

I’m not looking to be an enormous staffing company. I do promise you that I’ll be the best.

Recruiter Biographies

Michele Krebs - SGC

Michele Krebs

I like to say I grew up in the recruiting business, and that is the literal truth. I started working for a professional placement agency when I was quite young, a loooonnnggg time ago. Lucky for me, I had a mentor for my first 19 years in the business who taught me to be fair, tenacious, and humble: “But for our candidates and but for our clients, we do not exist. They are all customers, and they are all always right. End of lesson."

When the placement firm closed due to its owner’s retirement, I joined a consulting firm, and learned the staffing business from that side. After that, I joined a local Fortune 500 Company as its Technical Recruiting Manger. I met Susan Graham in 1998 when I hired her to help with a massive staffing initiative at Rite Aid Corporation. We worked together for a year before circumstances determined we had to go our separate ways, but not before vowing we would work together again some day. We energize each other in a way that is almost indescribable!

My recruiting philosophy is simple: I believe I need to keep in touch with my network to have the right candidate available when my client’s job opens. I believe that I need to actually have conversations with people to find out what they are feeling (a job change is a stressful life event). I need to learn from candidates and companies about new technology and business processes. I need to smile, say “okey dokey,” and find the next “perfect candidate” when the client’s requirement changes. This is my work. This is what I do.

Note from Susan: What you don’t know about Michele, and what Michele won’t tell you, is she is the most meticulous, fair, and loyal person you will meet. She means what she says about “But for our candidates, we do not exist”. Adding Michele to SGC is one of the best decisions I have made and it has taken my company to the next level. And oh, by the way, Michele is one heck of a tap dancer. Ask her about it!
